Commission has in accordance with article 37 of The National Assembly Elections
Act (Uradni list RS, št. 44/92, 60/95 in 67/97- odločba US), on its 39th
session on August, 23rd 2000 adopted the following

FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ELECTORAL ACTIVITIES FOR REGULAR ELECTIONS OF
THE DEPUTIES TO THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF SLOVENIA ON OCTOBER

I.
Individual electoral
activities shall be implemented in the following terms (final terms are given!)

ZVDZ: Article 16 and Decree of Calling

CONTENT: Day on which terms for the
implementation of the elections begin

Day: 1st day - 36th day (25 days prior
to the Election Day)
ZVDZ: Article 54
CONTENT: Political parties determine list
of candidates for the elections of the deputies to the National Assembly in
accordance with their rules.
Voters determine list of candidates for the elections of the deputies to the
National Assembly by expressing support on prescribed forms.
Voters – members of the national communities determine candidacies for election
of deputies of national communities by expressing support on prescribed forms.

ZEVP: Article 20
CONTENT: A commission for drafting of
electoral register of citizens – members of the Italian or Hungarian national
community must be nominated.

ZEVP: Article 9 in connection with the
provisions of

CONTENT: District electoral commissions must
inform the competent body about the polling stations in the area of the
district (areas and headquarters
of the polling stations)

suggestions for the nomination of the president and members of the electoral committees.

CONTENT: Commission of self-governmental
national community for the preparation of the register of the members of Italian
or Hungarian national community submits the electoral register to a competent body
for a confirmation.

CONTENT: Competent body presents electoral
registers according to local customs.

CONTENT: Voters, who are abroad on the
Election Day, shall inform the Republic Electoral commission, whether they wish
to vote or submit an application for an entry into the electoral register.

CONTENT: The last day, when one can sign the
form of support to a candidate or a list of candidates at the competent
administrative body (until the end of the working hours), and a form of support
of a deputy to a list of candidates at the Office of the National Assembly of

CONTENT: Candidacies or lists of candidates
for the deputies of the National Assembly must be lodged with the electoral
commissions of the constituencies.

CONTENT: Procedure of the verification of
legitimacy of the lists of candidates and adoption of the decisions on
confirmation or rejection of a list of candidates. All the formal shortcomings
of the lists of candidates must be omitted by September the 23th 2000.

CONTENT: Determination of the roll of lists
of candidates (lots shall be drawn for the order).

CONTENT: Voters, who can vote by post, must
lodge the application for the voting by post with the district electoral commission
up to this day.

CONTENT: Competent body confirms electoral
registers and submits them to the district electoral commissions or constituency
electoral commissions for the election of the deputies – representative of
national communities.

CONTENT: Representative of a list of
candidates can submit a list of trustees on the polling stations to the
district electoral commission.

CONTENT: Early election in the headquarters
of the district electoral commission.

polling station for reason of illness, lodge an application to vote at their
homes.

determines the result of the voting by post, which arrived from within the area
of the Republic of Slovenia.

CONTENT: Procedure of the determination of the
official result of voting and result of elections.
II.
Beside the alleged time
terms, provided by laws, which regulate the procedure of nomination and voting
on the elections, the Republic electoral commission reiterates the following
terms, provided by the Electoral Campaign Act.

CONTENT: Municipality must publish the
conditions for the acquisition of the right to use the advertising spots for posters.

CONTENT: Media must determine and publish the
rules about the electoral campaign.

CONTENT: Organizer of the electoral campaign
must open a special account with a note: "For the electoral campaign".
